The Lord's prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Doxology
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Antiphon
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they will be created. And you will renew the face of the Earth.
Reading
The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:5-7, 9)
Meditation
Aim to live in peace by choosing your battles wisely. Marriage is full of enough hardships on its own. We only add more pressure when we fight battles that don't need to be fought.
So your spouse left their dirty clothes beside the hamper, or has a hard time getting to church on time? Don't allow minor annoyances to become unnecessary fights. Life is too short. It's essential to communicate over big issues but let the small stuff go. Trust me; it's just not worth the peace in your marriage.
"If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all." - Romans 12:18
"Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." - Hebrews 12:14

Praying for peace
Prayer for the Marriage renewal
Father in Heaven, You called Louis and Zélie Martin to holiness through their married life. You gave them as Mother and Father to St. Therese of Lisieux. Through their intercession, we ask you to bless the married couples of our diocese and those who are preparing for marriage. Bless our children and our grandchildren. Guide us by your Holy Spirit to bear witness in our lives to the beauty of the Sacrament of Marriage. Guide us as citizens to make the kind of decisions that will support family life, protect marriage and respect the dignity of children. We make this prayer through Christ, our Lord.Amen.
